Spanish Nature News
headerWe hope the year has been kind to you and that, like us, you are looking forward to the future with hope and enthusiasm? Planning our tours and arranging the schedules is a very personal thing at Spanish Nature and no different from the feeling I get when organising things for my own holidays. It’s exciting and fun to put tours together. Both Pieter and I seek to provide a holiday that not only gives you time to enjoy nature and the beauty of our destinations, but also an opportunity to make new friends and be able to relax. Our sole aim and reward is your enjoyment.

resplendent-quetzalWe are busy looking ahead to 2010 and have some great tours/destinations for you to enjoy. Coming early in the new year we have two favourite and very popular tours to Costa Rica (February) and Morocco (March). Later in the year we tour Kenya and India, we are already receiving bookings for these tours, so we invite you to take a look at some of these wonderful destinations and hope you consider joining us.

Costa Rica – February 2nd to 15th 2010

Our tour to Costa Rica is one the most popular destinations we run and is always well subscribed. Why not join us? It is a stunningly beautiful and diverse country with a rich fauna and flora. The pace of this tour is highly recommended to those seeking a relaxing, but rewarding experience. We spend time at each of our five locations and each is very different giving a real opportunity to explore this fabulous country. The standard of accommodation and food is extremely high giving a comfortable feel to this tour. pacific-oceanThe birds, we normally see in excess of 400 species, are a marvel and add to the spectacle of the differing scenery we will see. Some of the comments we received from this year’s tour are given below:

Peter T (UK) wrote “It was the best birding trip I have been on, and one that included moments that will no doubt stay in my memory forever. Where else could one stop-off for 5 minutes and see 5 species of woodpecker? Where could one enjoy such magnificent close views of the King Vulture from both above and below the soaring bird? Quite mind blowing. Our sincere thanks to you”.

Rob and Janet (UK) wrote “First and foremost we chose to go to Costa Rica with Spanish Nature because you were leading it. The rest of the party were good fun and it was a superb trip which both of us enjoyed and rated up there with Canada. Janet has not shut up since coming home. Once again thanks for a great time and being good company”.

Tina and Bent (Denmark) wrote “It was a fantastic tour in a fantastic country. It will be an experience for life for us. The Costa Rica tour has also made us want to go other places - what about making a tour to South Africa?”.

We still have some places available for our trip next February.

red-rumped wheatear Morocco Safari – March 17th to 27th 2010

I have to admit, this particular tour is a great favourite of mine and can certainly say one of the most popular. The tour will start from Marrakech and take-in the Atlas Mountains, Draa Valley and southern deserts. The 11 day and 10 night tour will include 1 night in a desert camp with good facilities, where a 4x4 oasis day trip will provide a mini-adventure within our birding safari. The tour is designed to be relaxed and does not include early mornings and late nights!! Both the routes and sites have been carefully selected to give maximum opportunities for observing the ‘special’ birds of this region of Morocco. It is an amazing tour in an amazing country, rich in scenery and culture. I include some comments from the tours we have made this year:

Judy (Canada) wrote “Thanks so much for a wonderful trip. It was everything and more than I expected. The accommodation, food and company, all were great. Can’t think of any improvements, erg-chebbi-dunesbut you know me well enough to know I’d let you know if I did have any suggestions. G and I are definitely discussing India. A testament to our experience on this trip don’t you think?”.

Mary and Norman (UK) wrote “Hi to you both. Thank you very much for the excellent holiday. We enjoyed ourselves enormously and feel you both did an excellent job. Thanks again. I suspect you should get a few enquiries from friends”.

David and Margaret (UK) wrote “It was a great trip, it was beyond our expectations as far as bird sighting was concerned. The company was great and we are now busy trying to get our Yorkshire accents back. We enjoyed your company so much we are trying to get a flight from Anguilla to Costa Rica in February!!”.

Why not join us in March 2010 and enjoy a tour designed to show you something very different?
