Spanish Nature started its Worldwide Tours Programme (in 2006) with birding tours to Morocco, and Morocco is still a very attractive destination for many birders. Of course the African Continent has so much more to offer. Nowadays we have extended our programme with tours to Kenya and Gambia and there are more tours to come! Botswana - Africa's most beautiful Wilderness
We have now designed the first tour to Botswana – Africa’s most beautiful Wilderness (14th to 26th of October 2011). This tour will visit Central Kalahari, going through the Okavango Delta end at the Victoria Falls. For wildlife, Botswana is the very best and also the birding is magnificent. To get the best out of this birding/game drive Safari we have chosen a “luxury (mobile) camping safari”. Our camp gets taken down and put up by the staff at a different location every second or third day. Travelling will be by open game drive and for longer distances by chartered small aeroplanes. We are sure that it will be an exciting experience for us all.
The Gambia - Leave the winter behind

The Gambia, for a 10nights/11 days tour, is one of the smallest and safest countries in Africa. After only a 6 hours flight, without any time difference, you will arrive at Banjul on the Gambian Coast, which is as colourfully African as you can image. The Gambia enjoys virtually uninterrupted sunshine with almost no rainfall from November to June, which makes this country a very good place to escape the cold and grey winter months in northern Europe. Birdlife is abundant and since in 1977 a Wildlife Act was passed for several areas in The Gambia, which are now protected Nature Reserves. More than 540 bird species are recorded. The Gambia, the place to enjoy a really relaxed birding holiday
1. Moroccan Birding Safari
2. Moroccan Autumn Bird Migration
3. Morocco Birding Breaks (3 days)
Why go? The answer is that when man has been there and undergone the baptism of solitude he can’t help himself. Once he has been under the spell of the vast, luminous, silent country, no other place is quite strong enough for him, no other surroundings can provide the supremely satisfying sensation of existing in the midst of something that is absolute. He will go back, whatever the cost in comfort or money, for the absolute has no price.
Paul Bowles describing Morocco’s Sahara Desert
Morocco is truly an exotic location and fabulous part of Africa. Rich in scenery and birds with time to relax and enjoy both!
Kenya - A life-time Experience
A 11 nights/12 days tour. The country's dramatically diverse geography has resulted in an enormous range of natural habitats, making Kenya one of the natural wonders of the world. A land of endless potential for the wildlife enthusiast. From great migratory herds of the open savannah to an incredible abundance of birdlife, from the depths of a tropical rainforest to the depths of the Indian Ocean teeming with fish, Kenya is a world of natural wonders. It holds some of the most remarkable birding sights, you will have to witness them to believe them. You can find the world’s biggest bird, the Ostrich, but also we will see spectacular flamingos that congregate in their millions at the various Lakes of the Great Rift Valley painting them pink. With eleven percent of the world’s species – some 1089 different varieties, Kenya’s birding is one of the best in the world.
